A different way to explore nature in contact with these fantastic animals.
Activity description

Guided horse ride

A horseback ride in Chianti is the best way to discover this land where the rhythms of nature mark the hours. One of the most fascinating aspects of the Chianti hills is the harmony that surrounds its places, far from the noise and bustle of the cities. Traveling on the saddle of a proud and elegant animal like the horse is a unique experience, which awakens the intimate connection between man and nature. For Salvadonica guests, the horseback ride on the hills is an additional opportunity to get in touch with the Tuscan countryside. The wonderful landscapes and the pleasure of riding will make your holiday an unforgettable experience.

How takes place

How the horse ride takes place

You can book your guided horseback ride at the Salvadonica reception. Your horses will wait for you at the agreed time at the riding school near the structure. Here you will meet the instructor who will help you familiarize yourself with the assigned horse and provide you with all the necessary information for a safe walk. At this point the adventure begins! You will leave for the magnificent paths of Chianti, among lush woods, panoramic views and expanses of vines and olive trees. You will discover some of the most enchanting routes that surround the Borgo di Salvadonica, to be contemplated from your new perspective. The guide will accompany you through an evocative itinerary of about an hour and then return to the starting stables.

What includes
  • Guided horseback ride through the paths of Chianti.
  • Cap for head protection
  • Min: 1 person
  • Max: to be agreed
  • Duration: about 1 hour

The guided horse ride is suitable for both experts and beginners aged 15 and over. The riding horses are tame and used to being ridden even by inexperienced people. In any case, here are some tips for an absolutely pleasant walk:

Dress comfortably: to mount a horse you need closed shoes or boots, of course without heels. Long trousers are also recommended to prevent friction with the saddle leather from bothering you.

Be honest: openly communicate your level of experience to the instructor. Attempting to hide your limits or go beyond what is allowed can only put your safety at risk.
